TOKYO LONG WHITE GREEN ONION SEEDS NON-GMO great for grilling salads and more!

NON GMO HEIRLOOM HOME GROWN VEGETABLES JUST TASTE BETTER! MADE IN USA Tokyo Long White Green Onion Seeds (110 days)—25-30 seeds 65-100 days. As the name is implies, Tokyo is a Japanese heirloom. Tokyo is an abundant bunching onion that looks just like what you would get from the farmers market. I remember my mother and her mom relishing these onions out of the neighbors garden. They seemed to always be on the dinner table. Tokyo is only mildly pungent and very uniform in growth.Tokyo Long White Bunching is excellent for farmers market or keeping a supply out in the garden for fresh eating. Use the tops on spuds or sauté them with olive oil in your favorite dish. We use them in omelets with some smoked bacon. Slightly pungent, long white shanks with stiff blue-green tops. Resistant to hot weather and also fairly cold tolerant, but not recommended for over-wintering. Be sure to provide adequate moisture. GREAT EASY RECIPE BELOW… Grilled Tokyo Long Green OnionsA perfect way to enjoy the summer bounty of onions! And the leftovers taste great chopped up in salads, scrambled eggs, or on a burger! IngredientsTokyo Long White Green Onions1/4 cup Olive Oil1 Tablespoon Balsamic vinegarSea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.InstructionsTrim onion tops, remove the dry outer skin layer, and trim the stem end but do not remove it or the onion will fall apart. Combine the olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper, and set aside. Cut onions in halves or quarters lengthwise. Smaller ones can be left whole. Brush the onions generously with the olive oil mixture. Grill over a low, slow heat to allow the onions to caramelize (30-40 minutes), basting with the olive oil mixture a few times while cooking. Serve with steak, fish, chicken, or on burgers.OUTSTANDING!YOU CAN GROW THESE SEEDS IN CONTAINERS, WINDOWSILL, ON YOUR BALCONY, PORCH, DECK, OR MAKE SMALL BOXES IN THE GROUND IN THE FIELD OR IN YOUR YARD THAT YOU HAVE DESIGNATED FOR YOUR GARDEN. A SUPER FUN IDEA IS TO GROW FOOD IN YOUR FLOWER GARDENS, I ALWAYS PUT HERBS AND VEGETABLES MIXED INTO THE ROCK BEDS IN MY FRONT YARD. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATRONAGE AND HAPPY GARDENING! HOMEGROWN HEIRLOOM VEGETABLES JUST TASTE BETTER! INCLUDES BASIC GROWING INSTRUCTIONS a quick note on seed storage… I feel through my experience the best way to store your seed is in the refrigerator. Some vegetable varieties produce seed that remains viable for many years (tomatoes) and others produce seed that does not store well under any conditions (onions). I believe seed stored under refrigerated conditions could last 10 years or more. I planted some ACE 55 seeds from 2000 in the summer of 2017. They did great! Germination rates were in the 90% and above range…these seeds had been sitting in a box in my garage for the past 17 years! I have some of that seed available now listed as Marlboro Ace 55. GET SOME! At Frontier Farms, we specialize in many varieties of Heirloom tomatoes, peppers, plus many other vegetable varieties. WHAT IS AN HEIRLOOM? Heirloom plants are grown from seeds that have been handed down thru generations, saved from year to year, some varieties dating back hundreds of years. Many made the migration from Europe and the East with the immigrants coming to the USA. The seeds are never cross pollinated and so they remain true to their particular characteristics. Heirloom tomatoes come in all colors, shapes, and sizes ? Reds, Pinks, Yellows, Orange, White, Green, Striped, and Black. Ranging in sizes of cherry and grape to large grapefruit size, meaty, or juicy. WHY HEIRLOOM? These tomatoes are more natural, they are non GMO (genetically modified). They do not have as long of a shelf life as store bought tomatoes, but that is what makes them special. They have a real fantastic tomato flavor not found in grocery store offerings. These tomatoes are indeterminate (they grow all season, they flower all season and they produce tomatoes all season. They don’t stop until frost. Once heirloom tomatoes are picked, they do not have a long shelf life as hybrids but they more than make up for any shortcomings in flavor. Please see my other listings for more NON-GMO and heirloom seed varieties and thank you!

RED URSA KALE NON-GMO HEIRLOOM great for juicing and sauté! VERY NUTRITIOUS YUMM

NON GMO HEIRLOOM HOME GROWN VEGETABLES JUST TASTE BETTER! MADE IN USA RED URSA KALE25-30 seeds From Portugal, Germany, and China, kale has made traditional soups and provided people with their staple greens. While Red Ursa is a relatively new addition to the rainbow of kales, its roots run deep. The Red Russian and Siberian kales originate from northern Europe and northern Asia, and some of the varieties have been traced back to Russian traders migrating to Canada in the late 1800s. Kale is a crop that has evolved and cross-pollinated over the years, and Frank Morton of Wild Garden Seed in Corvallis, Oregon, has kept this tradition going with his kale breeding efforts. In the ‘90s he crossed a Siberian Kale with a Red Russian Kale to form what is now Red Ursa. In 1997, Red Ursa was entered into the National Variety trials and chosen as one of the top five vegetables of the year! This extra frilly version of a Red Russian kale with striking dark red to purple stems and rich green leaves. Tastes like kale should with meaty leaves complemented by a sweet stem. A delight eaten raw or cooked. (65 days to maturity, 24-inches tall and wide). ALL SEEDS COME WITH BASIC GROWING INSTRUCTIONS. NON GMO SLOW BOLT ARUGULA DELICIOUS HEIRLOOM healthy delicious green nutritious

NON GMO HEIRLOOM HOME GROWN VEGETABLES JUST TASTE BETTER! MADE IN USA SLOW BOLT ARUGULA (HEAT RESISTANT)25-30 seeds Heat resistant, Non-GMO Arugula Slow Bolt Seeds (Eruca sativa), can be used in a variety of ways, mixed in a salad with other greens. Use in sandwiches, toss into soups or pastas, even in a roasted vegetable dish. Arugula thrives in cooler temperatures, BUT THIS VARIETY WILL CONTINUE TO GROW WELL INTO THE SUMMER WITHOUT GOING TO SEED. Arugula also grows well in containers using a commercial potting soil rather than a gardening mix soil. This leafy green has a light spicy flavor that will excite all of your dishes! GO FOR IT! Sowing and GrowingArugula has a quick germination. In warmer climates, such as zones 8 and above, you should plant in the fall rather than in the spring. You can start Arugula in your garden about 1 to 2 weeks before your last frost date. If you sow a row or section every 2 to 3 weeks you can get a continuous crop. These seeds can be dispersed evenly to create a bed of tender leaves.HarvestingArugula is a cut-and-come again plant, meaning you can harvest as leaves mature. Grow in cool weather and keep the soil moist for the best flavored greens. Stop harvesting the leaves once the plant flowers or they will become bitter-tasting. If arugula becomes wiltly after harvest, submerge in lukewarm water for 60 seconds, then submerge in ice water. Arugula will crispen after that.ALL SEEDS COME WITH BASIC GROWING INSTRUCTIONS.
