Very similar to floral variety ‘Crimson Beauty’ but this seed grown canna has more of the wild canna features. It offers vibrant deep-rose to pink-red flowers above medium green leaves. Plants can get 3-5 feet tall. Produces true to type seeds. In the tropical areas these cannas flowers around the year while in temperate climate July through September. Flowers in first year. Plant in full sun or light shade with regular irrigation. Hardy to zone 8. In our trials this canna proved to be a vigorous grower and prolific bloomer July through October in zone 7b. Give them full sun in somewhat wind sheltered location with hummus rich moist soil and these cannas will reward you with spikes of bright tangerine blooms. Cannas love heat and humidity and require a minimum of four hours of direct sunlight. Pictures are of actual plants in my garden the rhizomes/seeds eventually will grow into.
