10 PURPLE SENSATION SEEDS (Allium aflatunense)(Allium aflatunense) is a Flower that Makes a Gorgeous Addition to Your Landscape, and Attracts Butterflies and other Pollinators. It has Large, Violet-Purple Multi-Flowered Rounded Umbels that are Held on Tall Leafless Stems. An Interesting Fact about Them is that They will Bloom when the Daffodils and Tulips are Done but Before the Perennials get Started. It Will Grow 24-36 Inches Tall. Alliums are drought tolerant so are unlikely to need watering if planted in the ground; they will be watered by rain through the winter. If there’s a long dry spell in April or May, water accordingly, paying particular attention to pots which can dry out quickly. Alliums do best in full sun to partial shade.Zones 4-8Allium Germination:1) Cold stratify by placing in a zip lock bag filled with moist vermiculite or peat moss and place in the fridge for 60 days. Periodically check to ensure they stay moist, but not wet.2) Fill treys with a quality soilless medium. Wet and let drain well. 3) Place 2 seeds in each trey cell or container, and lightly cover with 1/8" of vermiculite.
