You are bidding on about 40 PURPLE CONE FLOWER SEEDS - Echinacea Purpurea .The flowers are a rich purple and the florets are seated round a high cone; seeds, four-sided achenes. Root tapering, cylindrical, entire, slightly spiral, longitudinally furrowed; fracture short, fibrous; bark thin; wood, thick, in alternate porous, yellowish and black transverse wedges, and the rhizome has a circular pith. It has a faint aromatic smell, with a sweetish taste .Echinacea is extremely drought tolerant and easy to grow.You can not go wrong with Cone flowers, we just adore this genus and you will to. They are not finicky about soils but love the sun so give them a bright spot in the garden and enjoy their vibrant colors as well as the butterflies they will attract .A robust, drought tolerant perennial, native to the midwestern and southeastern United States. flowers are arranged individually on sturdy, elongated stems with soft lavender or purple petals surrounding an iridescent red-orange, coned center. Prefers full sun to partial shade in fertile, well-drained soils.
