PRAIRIE JUNE GRASS. Original member of the native tallgrass prairie. Impervious to floods, fire and drought. Easy to grow from seed. Very hardy, down to -30F. Perennial with a long-life span(10+yrs) Likes to form clumps about 1-2' around and will get 3+ feet tall. Not picky about soil, will grow just about anywhere with 6 hrs. of sun. Has a blueish/green hue in the summer and turns copper color in fall, giving some color to the winter landscape. Wildlife is attracted to June grass as a food source and cover. Will spread through rhizomes and self-seeding. If using as a ornamental, cut down to 8" early spring for fresh new growth every year. 500+Quality seeds. Thank You! Koeleria cristata. Perennial.
