(8) Eight - Red Spider Lily, Lycoris Radiata Lily, Hurricane, Surprise, or Resurrection Lily Bulbs This listing is for EIGHT (8) freshly harvested red spider lily bulbs. Freshly Harvested - Shipped as a Fresh Healthy Bare Root Growing Bulb. Bulbs are hand selected to ensure you receive only the best, healthy bulbs Guaranteed! This Flower has 12-18” Stems with 2-3” red flowers with curved petals with long slightly upward curving stems. Easy to grow, does great in full sun and part shade. Produced red flowers in Sept. and Oct. with Foliage in Winter and dormant during Summer months. The lilies are hardy in USDA zones 7 through 10. The flower stems grow about 18” - 24" and the flower is around 4” – 5” in diameter. The lily grows in most types of well-drained soil, but they grow best in organically rich soils that retain moisture but aren't prone to excessive moisture. Soils need to remain on the dry side during the summer when the bulbs go into their dormant stage. The bulbs will rot if planted in soil that is always wet. When harvested they are mailed directly to you, ready for you to plant. Healthy Bulbs ready to plant now; Harvested the same day they are shipped. Lycoris Radiata Lily are called the Surprise Lily because of the long leafless stem and large flower just appear seemingly out of nowhere, in late fall. The foliage grows after the flower and stays green through winter and dies off in spring. Also known as the Hurricane Lily because it blooms at the end of summer during hurricane season. Another name is the Resurrection Lily because legends have it that when you see someone that you may never meet again, these flowers, also called red spider lilies or corpse flowers, would bloom along the path. You will receive Eight (8) fresh healthy bulbs that are carefully packaged and shipped same day harvested. US shipping only. No international shipping.
