Amaranthaceae, Amaranthus cruentus, HOPI Red Dye Amaranth Seeds. Historically, grown as a dye plant by the Southwestern Hopi Nation. This variety has the reddest seedlings of any amaranth, making it a natural for micro-green mixes. Plant has bright red, stems and foliage. Beautiful tall, scarlet, feathery bracts and scarlet-red leaves which adds bright color to any garden, and bite to baby leaf salads. Mature leaves can be cooked in a multitude of ways like kale or spinach.
