FREE SHIPPING if you buy 3+ items - mix and match different seeds from my store to qualify - or purchase qty of 3+ on this listing! These Zinnias have single to double dahlia blooms in Orange/Yellow/White/Pink/Violet /Scarlet & will bloom all summer and fall. Butterflies love them and deer don't like to eat them! Zinnias are technically annuals but will readily reseed themselves so you will have them year after year. Pick any dead blooms off & more will grow! These flowers have been staples among major color-makers in gardens since your great-grandmother's time. They're great for all-summer color in wildflower meadows, or in more formal gardens. They're super-easy from seed, started indoors or out. With these, you'll be cutting bouquets all summer long. Easy! Easy! Why everybody loves Zinnias flowers in their garden: Probably no plant can give you more color for less work. It's because the zinnia is one of the easiest plants to grow from seed (any child can do it, and many do!), they'll give you every color but blue, and they bloom all season up until frost. Can you think of another flower that does all that?
How to grow zinnia flowers: Sun is really all that's required, even partial shade will do. They don't need much water, since they're from hot desert-like habitats. Soil? Almost any soil will do, but they prefer fast-draining gritty soil, if you have that available. Zinnia seeds are perfect for starting indoors to have bloom early (start them inside about 6-8 weeks before your last frost). Sow them 1/8" deep and they will sprout in 7-20 days. Just be sure to wait until the chance for frost is gone & until the soil has warmed up a bit before setting them outside. Remember they're super-sensitive to frost--after all, these plants are from frost-free regions, and don't like cold soil. If you'd rather, you can just wait until spring arrives, and sow them outside since they grow so quickly anyway. They're very undemanding you will have flowers and bouquets all summer long! Fun fact : There are about 20 species of Zinnia in the wild, native to the arid, rocky soils of North, Central and South America, most common in Mexico. Height - 24"-40" Spread 16"-18" Zones 3-10.
