NOTE: I try to keep the cost with free shipping on small seed orders as low as possible by using first class letter mail without tracking. It works well, but sometimes is a little slow and very occasionally they don't show up at all. In order to be able to keep using this low cost service on Ebay, PLEASE do not open a case if you do not receive the seed order. There is no way for me to provide tracking for an open case, and they punish me for USPS mail failures. JUST MESSAGE ME DIRECTLY and let me know you haven't received them, and I'll resend them out for you. Look for the seeds (unless you pay for first class package with tracking) in your regular letter mail in a white envelope with a butterfly or flower sticker on it. Fresh 2023 Seeds, Cold stratified LEMON BALM~ "Melissa Officinalis" ~. Perennial Medicinal HerbHeirloom, Non GMO, 100% all natural organically grown Choose from 50 to 200 Seeds **200 Seed orders automatically come with first class package shipping with tracking One of the OLDEST and most widely used medicinal herbs known to man!! It's use can be traced back to the beginnings of recorded history, and probably BEYOND!! This herb is used most often fresh or dried in herbal tea blends. It is great for anxiety and for a calming, overall sense of well being. The Lemon Balm plant is a member of the mint family and is sometimes referred to as common balm or balm mint. HISTORYOriginally from southern parts of Europe and various parts of the Middle East and Central Asia~ It's now grown regularly in the Americas and all around the world. Various lemon balm benefits have been employed in traditional medicine, especially in European countries such as Austria. In fact, lemon balm is an ingredient in Carmelite water, an alcoholic extract beverage formulated in the 14th century that’s still for sale in Germany. In classic literature, characters often added lemon balm to wine or tea in order to treat various illnesses, like high fevers, headaches, nerve pain, wounds, bites and stings. A few written works praise the lemon balm plant for its mood-lightening effects, such as Persian writer and thinker Avicenna, who referred to it as that which “maketh the heart merry and joyful.” It was also mentioned by Homer in “The Odyssey”; Nicholas Culpeper (a popular English botanist, physician and herbalist); and in the 1696 London Dispensary, which told readers that, “An essence of Balm, given in Canary wine, every morning, will renew youth, strengthen the brain, relieve languishing nature and prevent baldness.” The following info is for educational purposes only and not intended to be medical advice: I can only impart to you what the plant has been known for historically, research study results, and anecdotal info. I'm NOT ADVISING YOU on anything HERE!!! (disclaimer!!) 1. Protects Heart and liver (this has actually been backed up by research) 2. Antibacterial 3. Anti-inflammatory 4. Stress Reducing 5. May improve Digestion, help with sleep, mood enhancing AND MORE!!! There's lots of info on the web about this herb so look into it, and grow some... and TRY IT!! And see what you think. :) Easy to grow: Seeds are STRATIFIED!! Sow on soil surface and lightly cover. Keep moist, soil temp 60s/70s. 7-14 daysLemon Balm is a PERENNIAL but if you have really cold winters (zone 4 up above), it may not survive the winter without protection. SHIPPING: I ship individual orders of small and tiny seeds in regular first class letter envelopes without tracking to save you on shipping costs. *****If you order 4 or more seed items, order larger sized seeds, or large volumes of one seed type, I will send in a padded envelope with tracking automatically with the free shipping option. *****You can request 1st class shipping with tracking, or priority mail/priority express shipping with any order. If you chose "FREE SHIPPING", please note that many times you will not receive a tracking number when your order is marked complete. If you do not receive your seed order within 2 weeks of the date you ordered, contact me, and I'll resend your order. I do not give refunds or accept returns on seeds, but I will most certainly resend an order that does not show up due to USPS incompetence.
