Penstemon Eatonii - Eatons Penstemon also known as the Firecracker Beardtongue, has scarlet- red flowers on tall bloom spikes with attractive evergreen foliage. It is a good species for naturalizing in harsh growing conditions. It has a blooming season that ranges from late Spring to early Summer, will grow between 18 – 24 inches tall, and grows best in full sun in well- draining soil. This plant also tends to enjoy morning sun and afternoon shade. It will attract pollinators to your garden such as Hummingbirds, Butterflies, and Bees while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits.
