One of the rarest fruits in cultivation. Likely fruited for the very first time in America. Unclear classification. Solanum oocorum vs Solanum oocarpum vs Solanum robustum. Delicious fruit, sweet and sour, meaty and juicy, somewhat similar to goldenberries, lulos and bambona (Physalis peruviana, Solanum quitoense and Solanum pachyandrum) in flavor. Unknown cold resistance, but survived winter in Santa Cruz, CA outdoors. Makes the most delicious juice. Easy to propagate from seeds and cuttings.
