Strawberry Foxglove Seeds (Digitalis mertonenis) – 50+ seeds Foxglove is a beautiful biennial plant with trumpet like blossoms. Strawberry foxglove is a lovely strawberry-pink color with a deep-pink throat. It is a member of the plantain family and grows in woodland clearings and mountainsides and is an excellent garden ornamental plant. Also known as fairy gloves, fairy bells and lady’s gloves. A great plant for naturalizing. The leaves are covered with gray-white hairs that impart a downy texture on the upper surface and a wooly texture below. In the second year an upright flower stem with smaller leaves are produced from the center of the basal leaf clump. Strawberry foxglove spikes normally grow to about 2-4 feet tall and attracts beneficial pollinators. It is deer and rabbit resistant. Foxglove self-seeds readily. Deadheading in mid-summer may lead to a second round of flowering. Foxglove are very poisonous to dogs, cats, and humans. Foxglove contains naturally-occurring poisons that affect the heart, specifically cardenolides or bufadienolides so use care in planting. Planting: Foxglove seeds can be sown in indoors in early spring or directly sown in the garden in the summer. Use good quality seed starter mix when sowing indoors. Soil temperature should be 60-65 degrees F. Foxglove normally takes 14-21 days to germinate. Lightly press seeds into to soil, but do not cover the seeds. Foxgloves require light to germinate. Strawberry Blonde Marigold – 15 seeds

Strawberry Blonde is a French variety of marigolds with medium sized blossoms of vintage tone yellows along with tones of peach, coral, salmon and sometimes near-pink. Marigolds attract beneficial insects such as bees, ladybugs and parasitic mini-wasps that prey on garden pests. These long-blooming marigolds grow to about 10″ tall with blooms of about 2.5 inches. Sow in average soil in full sun after danger of frost. In frost-free areas, sow from fall to early spring. Sow seeds about 6″ apart and cover with 1/4″ of fine soil. Firm lightly and keep evenly moist.
